Loong Foong's famous duck - click meIt was badminton night but the badminton players were missing. So Uncle Gary & I decided that we should do some exercising anyway - exercising our jaws & stomachs. Uncle Gary felt like taking a bite of Donald - the duck - and we decided that we should go to Loong Foong Hong Kong Roast Duck. This one of those mysteries of life that I have mentioned before, Loong Foong is only about 5 minutes from my place and I have never been there before. Uncle Gary chided me for that, he being the recent migrant returnee to Malaysia.

We had half a Hong Kong roast duck, said by many to be one of the best roast ducks in PJ - if not the best. So why is it good? The skin is thin and crispy, the marinate that they use masks the usually strong duck smell and gives it a very nice blended taste. The duck meat has just the right consistency of tenderness and moist with lots of juiciness and flavor in it. I am not much of a duck person usually, so I had to rely on Uncle Gary's assessment.

Hot Pan Tow Foo - click meWe also had a Hot pan japanese bean curd (tit pan tow foo). What was interesting was that the bean curd was poured out of a claypot into a sizzling plan right in front of us. Guess, they wanted to show how the tow foo sizzles. What I liked about it was the salted fish sprinkled inside the minced meat which made it really good. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Together with a plate of vegetable, dinner for two came up to RM40.
