nasi lemakDEE had told us about how much she enjoys the food here so we went there on a good report. I am glad to report that we were not disappointed. Arriving there on a weekend morning, we were pleasantly rewarded with a parking spot almost in front of the outlet. What a good start! There were a few empty tables when we were arrived (just before 10 am) but shortly after, there was actually a queue to get a place, so we were perfectly timed.

The nasi dagang looked tempting but I had the nasi lemak ayam goreng and I found the rice to be firm but maybe lacking in fragrance. It was however certainly warm. The ayam goreng (fried chicken) however was very good - crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. In fact, the inside was as tender as steamed chicken served in some places. Next time, I am definitely going to try their nasi dagang.

roti bakarMy wife and children had the half boiled omega eggs. After many visits to many kopitiams, these were arguably the best in town - right consistency for the egg white & yolk. Most places can't get omega eggs cooked right because of it's thick shell but it seems they have the formula worked out here. The toast bread was interesting as they have creatively sliced a piece of bread in two and spread the kaya inside the slice of bread. Look at the photo. My wife didn't quite like it but I did. I guess the trick is eating one slice at a time.

Word of warning - if there are four of you, be prepared to pay about RM10 (or more) per person. And they don't take credit cards.
