The next time you are anywhere in the Kelana Jaya area and have a craving for pizza, check out Marco's Pizza. It's hard to miss as it's located opposite the Kelana Jaya LRT station. Parking at night in this area is lovely, unlike places like SS2 or Desa Hartamas.
We had their name sake pizza - Marco's. It had shredded ham, egg, mozzarella cheese & plum tomato sauce in it. A 12" pizza costs RM23 which is cheaper than other pizza places. But it's no point being cheap, if your food sucks.
After having had the pizza from Sarpino's just 2 weeks earlier leaving us with a pretty good impression, we came into this place with higher expectations on what the pizza should be. And we were not disappointed.
The pizza had a nice thick layer of goodies under the cheese over the thin crust pizza. The layer of goodies was not too thick until it overpowered the crust but thick enough that you could bite into it and get a good feel of the ham. I wish there had been more eggs on it but they were not stingy with the ham so I won't cut any marks here. However, I thought the crust was maybe a tad bit too hard but my wife liked it that way.
In fact she preferred the pizza here to Sarpino's as she felt that the pizza there was overloaded and overpowered the crust.
The fresh mushroom soup (RM7.50) was really fresh. Really worth it.
