click meAfter the completion of a succesful event, a group of friends requested that I take them on a food adventure similar to the one I had drough DEE on a few months earlier. And so we did. 3 MPVs loaded with eager diners began our food adventure at about 7:30 pm. Our first stop was Keong Kee for their famous Sang Har Mee (fresh water prawn noodles). Taking two tables, one for the adults and one for the children, the party quickly consumend the sang har mee and the other noodle dish. They were not raring for more.

Our second destination was Farmland Steamboat in Pudu. Actually I had not been there before but had heard quite a bit  about it, not the least from Chan Kar Tat who has contributed some inputs to waisikkai.com before. I trust Kat Tat's recommendations - the man knows his food. So I told the group that Farmland was where we were headed but I had not been there before.

Instead of taking the sets at Farmland, we decided to go ala-carte instead and ordered the items that we fancied. We had fish balls, dory fish, pork ball, beef slices, pork slices, etc. served inside a mix of tomyam and porridge steamboat. The porridge steamboat was a hit. In fact the porridge was even better than some places that sell porridge by itself.
The jelly fish dish was also quite a hit with the jelly fish having a nice firm texture served cold with chili padi in it. Cold & spicy - got ooomph. The dishes were between RM8 and RM16 with most of them being RM10. So not a bad deal.

Our kids were eating rice and soy sauce while waiting for the dishes to be served and by the time it arrived, they had lost interest in dinner. So bringing children here, especially if they don't take steamboat is not a good idea.

The toilet here is wet but clean enough.

Altogether our meal here for our party of 22 people, 12 adults and 10 children came up to  RM240. Not bad.
