Patrick Liau had told me that there is some good food to be found around the Seri Kembagan area and had offerred to take me to some of them. Obviously I took up the offer.

Located just off the Kuala Lumpur - Seremban Highway, where one turns off into Seri Kembangan when you are coming in from Seremban towards Kuala Lumpur is a housing estate - Taman Putra Indah. It's easily marked by the only 20 storey building you'll see in the entire Seri Kembangan area.

Anyway we arrived there early enough to find a parking lot right in front of the restaurant. The lunch crowd built up very quickly a few minutes after we got there. However, parking is not much of an issue in this area as there is an open air parking lot right opposite the restaurant.

Claypot Loh See Fun. Taken with Treo 750v. Click MeThe claypot "loh see fun" was not what I expected. I thought it was going to be like Jalan Petaling's Chinatown Old Seng Kee style which would be a "kon low" style. It's actually a the white "loh mee" style of cooking which ordinarily doesn't appeal much to me. It's the one where you add vinegar to give it that extra oomph. My wife loves this style of "loh mee" To me "loh mee" must be the Penang style - black thick sauce.

Anyway, much to my surprise, I found this "loh see fun" very pleasurable and whacked more than half of it. I definitely had some of Patrick's share. I am helping him watch his diet. Hey, that's what friends are for. The thing that did it for me was the extra fried bacon bits that they put into the dish. Absolutely crunchy and yummy.

And to top it off, Patrick also ordered a plate of "fo yim pai kwat" or grilled pork ribs wrapped in alumimium foil. The pork was juicy and tender. Again being the friend I am, I had to help eat more of the ribs. Ahh - the sacrifices called upon friends sometimes.

All in the meal for two came up to RM21. Awesome deal for awesome food. Jeffrey Yap, yes the same Jeffrey who is my foodmeister for the Kepong area,  tells me that their "har ko" is also very good.
