Claypot Chicken Rice at Restoran Nanking, USJ Taipan E-mail

restoran nanking, taipan usj There used to be a time when I had meals at Taipan Triangle almost everyday but that was a while ago. I was among the early tenants of the area and I am quite sure very few people can remember when there was a time when parking was a bliss there. But of course that is no longer the case.

We went back to Restoan Nanking which is located opposite my old office to revisit the stalls there. Just like before, it still packs in the diners so there must be some good food still to be found here.

claypot chicken riceMy wife had the Claypot Chicken Rice (RM4.80). The single serving was quite good as there was enough salted fish in it and the rice was firm and tasty. The chicken pieces were big enough to be seen and bitten into and there were visible pieces of "lap cheong" in it as well.

The Bak Kut Teh was also quite good. The meat was tender and tasty. RM9.80 for one person's portion incuding the "yew char kway"

The prawn mee had no pork in it but used fishcake instead. However my daughter still enjoyed it thoroughly, though I think there was a bit too much MSG.

Drinks were horrible. Just order water.
