Keong had been telling us about this famous pork rib in Bukit Rahman Putra and we had planned a trip to try this pork rib for several months and one evening we finally made it. Eventhough we had both our families in tow and it was raining cats & dogs and we had to make several stops before we arrived there -  there was no stopping us.

When we finally arrived there, guess what? They told us that they had changed their menu and the "long pork rib" was not available the night we were there. Argghhh!

The yuen choy soup had an interesting addition of mushroom to it which added an interesting twist to a common dish.

The 4 heavenly king vegetables had these huge beans in it. I felt it lacked more dried prawns which would have given the dish an extra oomph.

I found the roasted chicken a bit dry but this was a popular dish with children.

The claypot seafood curry called the Indonesian curry was really creamy and excellent. We wanted to get some extra "man tou" but they had run out of it. Rats! Instead we ended up soaking some roasted chicken in it which saved the roasted chicken dish for me.

fatt kee pork ribInstead of having the "long pork rib", we had the braised pork rib called the "mouth rib". Don't worry we were not eating the mouth. It was lean portion of the rib and perhaps lacked fat on it. Hey you know me, fat is flavour. Anyway we shall definitely make another trip back to try the "long rib" because that is the to die for dish. I just hope it doesn't rain cats and dogs again.
