I have heard about this barbecued rib and char siew place for a long time from my good buddy, MK Woo and one day we finally had lunch there. Located at a road side stall behind the Istana Hotel, apparently it's quite an institution among insurers. On any given day, you will find people from Jerneh, Royal Sun Alliance, Tokio Marine and other insurance firms there.

However there are some rules to eating here.
a) Don't agitate the guy with the chopper.
b) Don't sit too close to the server as you might find yourself blessed with a fine spray of porky juice
c) Must come by 12 noon

So if you abide by these simple rules, you should be pretty happy here.

The Pork Ribs are what they are famous for but you'll need to come early to avoid dissapointment. However, we were there a but late that day and what was left was not so good. However, I have faith in Mr Woo and if he tells me it's good - I believe him. After all, he is paying me to say this. :-)

The Roast Pork was so so. The Char Siew comes with a special honey sauce which is really good. That's what I enjoyed most the day I was there. Since it's a road side stall, there is no fan so expect it to get rather hot. Be ready to sweat buckets.

The stall has no signage but it's located infront of a mini market.
