Thomas & Julian first clued me in to Dot 99 Steak & Chops on Facebook sometime back. They had been raving about how good the chicken chop is and Thomas brought me there for my first visit a couple of weeks back. The chicken chop was indeed quite good (nice tender chicken) and at RM10.90, it was quite a good deal as well. Really can't complain too much here.
On a second visit, I brought my family there and we tried something else this time. David had the roast chicken wings which was really good as the chicken wing was perfectly roasted and the heat seemed to have enveloped chiken perfectly down so the meat was consistently cooked all around. Not overcooked, just perfect.
I had the Spaghetti Cabonara with chicken ham & mushroom which was a generous sized portion with lots of chicken ham in it. It could have been creamier but nevertheless I still found it OK. The clear winner was the King burger. RM7.90 for a whopping sized burger. Easily about double the size of a Big Mac and with a big burger patty, egg, vegetable and mustard in it. The patty was not the most juicy I have ever had, but the complementary flavours from the vegetables and egg did enough to mitigate that for me. Now is that a good deal or what? Some who have been there will ask, isn't the name 99 Steak & Chops rather than Dot 99 Steak & Chops? It is Dot 99, there is a small dot in front of the 99 but it's rather small so it's a bit hard to notice.
