Bak Kut Teh - 2006/11/05 11:01 Hi, Im new here. I remember once I went to KL for BKT in the wee hour of morning. The BKT was fantastic. I wanted to go back again but cant remember how to.
The shop has posters of actor/actress patronising this shop. It was somewhere near Bt Bintang. Anyone knows?

Re:Bak Kut Teh - 2006/11/05 23:57 It's the one behind Sakura Cafe. The shop faces a small garden facing directly opposite a corner coffec shop famous for chicken rice. The BKT style is KL style not the Klang style.

KL style soup is clear and light brownish, taste more on the herbal side as compared to the Klang style very strong on garlic and melted pork fat and skin.

Re:Bak Kut Teh - 2006/11/05 23:59 It's definitely the imbi area. That shop a lot of tourist will go there including those HK and Taiwan star you mentioned like Jay Chow, Alan Tam, etc...

Taste good but very expensive.

Re:Bak Kut Teh - 2006/11/06 00:27 Chiefeater, what about Ah Song in Salak South? Above average? Actually, the shop next to Ah Song called Sekmechoy is famous among us Hakkas for their choy fan (literally translated: vegetable rice). But you have to order in Hakka, preferably with a tai poh Hakka accent. _______________
